Really overdue update

This picture was taken just a week after our "deep freeze" in Texas but the rye grass planted around the house in December managed to stay green.  We now have furniture in every room and even a wooden glider on the porch.  We managed 29 family members and friends for Thanksgiving dinner which really pushed the limits of the solar system as we didn't have our backup generator yet.

Now getting ready to do lots of planting - native buffalo and blue gramma grass around the house, maybe a few trees, vines on the trellis hiding the solar panels, herbs, etc.
