Yes, folks we closed on our permanent mortgage last Thursday, August 19, 2010. About 10 months after construction started. Whew - that was an experience I don't want to repeat anytime soon. Builder still has a few repairs to make but it now belongs to us and the bank. Mark and I spent the weekend there including our first overnight stay in the house (on air mattresses). Furniture is a gradual process but we did manage to move one couch up there and bought some new bar stools. It's the country after all - slow and steady. Next goal is to get ready to host Thanksgiving this year for family.
